I am set to leave the YHA Perth in the morning for my walk southwards from Kalamunda, which is an outlying suburb of Perth.
I am catching a bus near here that will take me all the way to the Northern Terminal of the Bibb. The bus takes just under an hour and is only $5!
There is a Coles supermarket right near the start where I will pick up last minute supplies.
The stretch to Dwellingup is 212 kms with no shops or anything, so I am going to be weighed down with 7 days of food! I have never had to carry this much. I think I had 5 days food for the 90 Mile beach on the Te Araroa, NZ.
Looking forward to trying out some of my new gear that I will introduce to you over the next few days.
I am really not sure how far I am going to go. I have done a couple of sections already of the Bibb. I am tempted to leave some sections for another visit, or I could end up doing the whole damn 1000 km end to end!
I am hoping to blog daily and have my mini keyboard so I can type easily. Guess it will depend on where I have cell coverage too.
